If your handset fails to connect to Mission Room

Your handset may fail to connect to the Mission Room PC system for a variety of reasons:

  • If you have more than one Mission Room system, ensure you have the correct pairing of handset and PC system. Check the names and serial numbers on the Mission Room Router and Handsets.
  • Ensure that your Mission Room PC system is switched on and fully booted up (see 'Starting Mission Room')
  • Ensure that Mission Room OS is running properly
  • Handset battery levels
    • Ensure that the handset is fully charged.
  • Screen sleep or energy saving mode
    • By default the handset’s screen has been set to never go into sleep mode to prevent the subsequent loss of wireless connection. If this setting has been changed to prolong the handset’s battery life this may cause the periodic loss of your wireless connection to Mission Room.
    • Ensure that the handset’s screen sleep ,mode is set to ‘never’.
  • Wireless router problems
    • Check the wireless router is plugged in.
    • Unplug the power from the router, wait a few seconds and plug the power back in. This will reboot the router and may help re-establish an wireless connection.
